Bait and Switch
A decent enough introduction to Python, but as the introduction to the book itself says, it's only meant to be an overview to the so-called "full" version of the book. The introduction says that if you do buy the book, you will also get the Kindle edition for free.Click the link to buy the book, however, and you will be blithely informed that it is out of print. (Despite it having been released only nine months ago, as of this writing?) Amazon does helpfully provide a link for Abe Books, however, to get more information. But are you using a VPN connection, like any sensible person is these days? If you are, Abe Books refuses to let you navigate its site at all until you turn it off.Two stars instead of one because of some useful information. Just be aware of what's really going on if you buy the book.

False advertising
This book is only a preview containing a few chapters, not a complete book. Just give me an honest price in advance and I would've paid it...

Brief introduction to basic concepts in Python.
Brief introduction to basic concepts in Python. Goes deep into advertising use of the language. Really, just a preview to the larger book. Not enough to become comfortable with the language or programming.

Definitely for beginners.
While I am a retired programmer analyst I am new to Python. This books does a very good job of presenting the basics of how a computer works and provides a very good start in the Python language.

All
Very simple read from start to end. With this read I will be able to change my stars. So can you.

This book leaves a nasty taste.
This is a cynical TEASER for his 5-day course book... It contains nothing that cannot be found better elsewhere. If you think this book will give you any information about the real meat of programming in Python then you will be sadly disappointed (and probably annoyed or even angry). You will see the chapter headings and even the subjects covered... but you will have to buy the “follow on book” to access them. I am not going to bother

Frustratingly it serves as more of a prerequisite for a follow-on book
It's not a bad book - it covers most topics to get you started but it serves as a prerequisite for a follow-on book, which is frustrating. I won't be purchasing the follow-on book just in case that serves as a prerequisite for another book! I have since purchased a good online course from Udemy and will stick to online free resources for reference going forwards.

Great resource, but it's only a preview and it has quite a few typos
Excellent free resource for people who've just picked up Python. I read this to help me make sense of a physics course that uses and teaches Python at an introductory level. It shows you the basics of using IDLE, some functions, methods and basic errors. I attached some screenshots showing some of the exercises covered in the book.It features well-structured tables with the basic operators, and it also has a brief answers booklet that's downloadable, which shows you how to create a simple table, for instance. You should know that there are loads of typos, especially in the operators tables. As soon as you spot them, correct them, because otherwise you'll have trouble coding down the line.It doesn't feature methods like 'except', but you do have loads of material on 'while' and 'loop' used both in lists and tuples.

Bait and switch scam
Don't touch it. It's a bait-and-switch for the "full version".It is absolutely riddled (as in dozens per page) with typos and grammatical errors which makes it impossible to follow. Obviously not written by the author on the cover as it exposes him as a Del-boy scam operator. The first thing he needs to do is employ a better ghost writer then a proofreader.

Sales preview
Not really useful and not what it's pretending to be. Don't bother: this exists just to upsell you on an actual book he has, which is of dubious utility
