Is this safe kit using filters?? There are other ceramic fountains on the market and they use filters?

From what I have seen using 2 of them for more than a year now, they are safe... I use water from my kitchen water filter instead of tap water and my cat appreciates the running water and easy access of this fountain.
I bought one of these ceramic fountains to use in another house but was not impressed at all and ended up buying a second miaoustore one in a week!!!
I just dismantle the pump and wash everything when I change the water every few days... That's it!!!

What is difference between motion activated and running continuously

Water running continuously does what it says. The fountain has a motor which, when it is switched on, will make the water run continuously.  A small gadget can be bought as  a separate item.  When this is connected to the fountain's cable and the gadget is placed a short distance from the fountain, the water will remain still until a pet walks near the 'seeing eye' and this will start the water flowing for a short while.  Cats are intrigued and, being curious, will investigate the fountain and be tempted to drink.
