SET of 12 Recovery AA Medallion / Coins BSP 24hr-11mo Commemorative

All coins accounted for and appear exactly as the product page advertised. Others reported having repeats of multiple of the same month and missing other months entirely, however fortunately that was not my experience. The coins fit into the various AA coin holders well. The coins themselves are nice, with a decent feel to them, light but not really cheap feeling.

I purchased these for myself. I don't go to meetings. But I wanted to still get chips for my sobriety and hard work. Each month, I give myself one. I just realized that it isn't a full year. The 1 year chip was actually a 24 hour chip. So in February I have to buy myself a really nice one. These are good for the cost. They are lightweight. I feel like if you put them in a case they will be just fine.

Purchased these coins to help encourage my husband to stay on track. He looks forward to each achievement and towards earning the next medal. The quality is as expected, wish it would have a little more weight. The colors are bright and he looks forward to seeing which color he earns, as he approaches each milestone.

These coins have improved my life drastically. A family member I truly care for is an alcoholic, this person really wanted to quit drinking they’d go a few days w/o alcohol but then give in & it just got worse over time so I bought these coins sat down & had a conversation w/the loved one & gave them the first coin. It’s been almost two months since the last drink they’ve had. Two coins have been earned so far. The first one is a 24hr coin & one a month after that. This has improved our relationship 110%!

Honestly based on the other poor reviews, I think I got a pretty good set. But it is missing the 8 month chip and the 1 Year/12 month chip which is a bummer. I’ll find something cool I guess in October. As for the actual product that did arrive…I’m having my husband hold these and we celebrate each marker when I reach it. I haven’t found traditional in-person AA to be my best fit, so using a combination of other tools like outpatient sober group meetings, online meetings, workbooks, etc and these chips satisfy a certain craving to have a physical token of my progress. Would recommend but be aware this particular item is incomplete at best. I’d have returned if more were missing! Update 5/2025: just got my 7th month chip from my husband! These continue to be a great little token to acknowledge my efforts.
