NOT a balance pad.
This is not a balance foam pad at all. This is literally a hard piece of padding that, even on one foot, is extremely easy to balance on. It’s like standing on a carpeted floor. If you want to stand on it for work to relieve stress on the lower back, sure! But if you need a real balance mat, trust me, look elsewhere. Big waste of my time.

A little too firm.
This is firmer than the one I used at physical therapy so it doesn't give my ankle the range of motion that it should. I'm hoping it will loosen up with usage. It cost half as much as the kind I used at PT.

FIRM
This is a high quality pad I would recommend to anyone, just be aware that's FIRM. It may not provide the balance challenge or cushioning you are looking for... But then again if you want something softer than the floor, but not too unstable it might be perfect! I have this one and softer one so I'm set!
