Replacement LAD5G 12-pin Xenon Ballast HID Headlight Headlamp Control Unit for Audi, Cadillac, Jaguar, Porsche, Saab

Works very well

We have been trying to figure out why our main head beam on our 2006 Jaguar XKR8 wasn’t working. We replaced the bulb, but that wasn’t the correct fix. We did more research and came to the conclusion it was the ballast, which in the end was exactly what we needed. We had to clean our terminal and it was an easy fix. Thank you. Now we only need the water deflector.

I HAD THE WRONG XENON BALLAST HID ORDERED, IT SHOULD,VE BEEN THE 4 PIN INSTEAD OF THE 12 PIN BALLAST

Ballast works without issue. Install was a pain but that isn't the fault of the part. But it is plug and play and works. No noise no flickering.

Everything is great, the headlights, brights, cornering lights, turn signal, and marker light works great. However the self leveling does not. The headlight is now stuck at the middle position which is not a big deal. Definitely not worth the extra 750$ it would cost for the oem part.

Overall very good product so far. No issues with installation and working great. My only complaint is that it wasnt a 100 percent perfect fit - there was a slight gap where the rubber gasket is on the ballast. Simply used electrical tape all the way around to seal out moisture etc. No big deal considering the money saved versus an oem ballast. Would definately buy again. Only had this installed for two months so cant speak to longevity but product seems solid and well made, other than the slight gap issue.

These ballasts are a nice replacement for my 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo and were a heck of a lot cheaper than what the dealer quoted me. Stealer wanted over $500 for each ballast!!! These were plug and play and after I installed them, I received no errors and the lights work perfectly, even the cool cornering light feature still works. At this price these replacements are a no brainier!

2003 Saab 9-5 with OEM xenon Bulbs, not aftermarket. Replaced both stock Valeo ballasts with these - one of my factory ballasts would occasionally blink randomly. My thought: "Why not replace both, 240k+ miles and 19+ years?" My car is old but well cared-for. Don't know if it's my car or the product, but factory ballasts did not behave this way. These new ballasts do seem to result in steady xenon headlights, BUT (see the attached video): -) when I switch headlights off with ignition on (ie: engine running) both blink wildly and independently -) interior dash bulbs also blink wildly -) vendor responded to one inquiry - suggested unhooking battery for hours to reset system; that had no effect. Now vendor has gone silent to my follow-up requests. deduct one star for each of those. I am hunting for a legit Valeo ballast instead. Flashing throughout the car systems is not acceptable. I'm trying to be fair in my feedback. Review Update - vendor has engaged actively and repeatedly since I posted initial review and feedback. Vendor suggests it might be the Body Control Module in my specific vehicle, and that this model ballast has been successful in 50 to 75 Saab 9-5s, with mine being the first to report this issue. I have upgraded the review to 3 stars and continue to find a solution to the flickering problem.

Great as you don't need to get this manual programmed , its plug and play remove the failed unit and plug this in easy . Still working after 12 months .

It said it was specific to my Chrysler. It was made for the year before.
