WyndPony Yerba Mate Set for Two

The yerba that this comes with is of decent quality, but the bombilla doesn't filter the yerba very well. The gourds are rather small, but turn out to be a nice size in all reality. I would not purchase this product again, as I was looking for a gourd and bombilla to take to work, as well as to have one for home. I will be buying a new bombilla for home for sure, and I may buy a new gourd as well.I would definitely buy the Yerba again though, as I like how theirs taste.

I was introduced to yerba mate many years ago whilst backpacking around the country and staying at youth hostels. It was such a wonderful tradition to experience, and I became very attached to it. I have been looking for a kit like this for ages that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Don't be fooled by the image, everything is the perfect size for a single person (I plan on keeping back one of the gourds for a backup or gift). The gourds are GORGEOUS, the bombillas are very well made, the thermos is perfectly sized, and the quality of the yerba is EXCELLENT. It includes instructions for the uninitiated on everything, from curing the gourd to various methods of brewing mate. My personal order also included a nice little surprise of free yerba mate tea bags for me to enjoy while waiting the 2 days to cure my gourd. Excellent product, you DEFINITELY get what you pay for.

I got this set so I could introduce and share yerba mate with my boyfriend. I grew up drinking mate in Argentina. I love that it came with everything for two people to start on yerba mate. It has two gourds, two bombillas and a how-to guide. The mate is delicious (much smoother than some others that I have tried) The gourds are a convenient size for home or travel and the bombillas worked just fine for us. This is a good value for the price and a very cute set - everything matches! I plan to buy more for gifts to friends.

The gourds leak. Both of them. I found the same amount of mate at my local Argentine market for $4.

It's nice but it's very small so you have refill many times
