Silver Star Stainless Steel Double Edge Razor Blades 100 Blades by Silver Star

I was fortunate enough to get a package of 5 in a sampler kit. I knew as soon as the razor hit my face that these were the ones for me, so I ordered a package of 100. These are sharp blades that provide you with a smooth shave. I can get 3-4 shaves at just a penny per blade. These blades are an unbeatable value. No more expensive cartridges for me. Very similar to the Astra SP. Works great in my Merkur and 1967 Super Speed. These are a good substitute For Russian blades.

Very mid. But that may be perfect for you if you have soft hair.

When it comes to DE razor blades I've tried almost all of them. AsraSP's were my go to followed by Gillette Super Sharpe Yellow and Lord Platinum's . Out of chance I stumbled on these and figured for a bucks it was worth a shot. Best lottery ticket I've ever bought. These things are so smooth that after the first couple of strokes I literally checked the razor to make sure it had a blade in it! BBS shave after 2 passes with a Gillette Slim set on # 5 and a Rockwell with a # 4 base plate. Got about a thousand Asra SP's for sale if anybody's in the market.

Some of the best blades you could buy, outstanding shave, close, smooth, almost never ever a nick and for the price even better. And very sharp. If you like Gillette silver blues, these are almost identical.

HORRIBLE feeling. First stroke already felt significant amounts of pulling and tugging. Required several passes to even get my (normally easy to shave) cheeks to feel smooth, and my neck was absolutely ripped apart trying to get it smooth. Multiple weepers, and my neck was extremely irritated. Definitely would never recommend them.

These are good medium sharpness blades, very similar to ASCO blades. They are less sharp than Sharks, but far more than Astras. For the price they’re hard to beat. I guess that I’m getting about six shaves per blade. I like the simple yet effective way that they are packaged.

These blades are sharp and smooth for me. I get 3 shaves out of blade before the performance suffers, which is OK for me as I normally ditch a blade after 3 shaves anyway. Overall these are one of the better Lord blades IMO, as always with blades YMMV.
