Planar PLL2210W 22-Inch Widescreen LED Monitor

My old Samsung monitor died and I was looking for a replacement. I was really looking for a 1920x1200 monitor but those are hard to come by these days. I use the monitor as a second monitor to monitor my internet connections so that was not the most important spec on my list. In searching for a good replacement at a reasonable price I came across this one. Having been around computer for many years Planar was on old and familiar name. After comparing the specs of the Planar with those of several others that looked promising I settled on the Planar. I don't need a monitor with a lot of extras such as speakers and addition ports as this unit gets set up, connected and turned on. This unit is a very good monitor at a good price. It would work equally well as a primary monitor. The display is very sharp and clear and has no apparent dead pixels. If all you are looking for is just a monitor with a great display i would recommend this one. And the price is reasonable too.

I think that for the money this is an excellent monitor. I've had it for about 3 months now, running HDMI from my laptop. It worked pretty well with my flight simulator, it probably wouldn't be ideal for a hardcore gamer but it will get you by. I'd definitely make this investment. I posted a video with my review showing the monitor full screen playing at 1440p off YouTube. It lagged a little trying to keep up with 4k, but was flawless at 1440p.

The Planar 24" LED monitor is gorgeous. Very sharp & rich colors. It is better than my regular work LCD monitors. It is great for working on anything, web pages, YouTube, videos, photos. They have no dead pixels that I could see. Win7, Win8, Win10, and Ubuntu linux all recognized the correct monitor display. It has both VGA and DVI connectors, has display adjustments if you need them, the base tilts for adjustment, it was packed very well, and got a great price from Amazon. I liked it so much I bought 2 more. Highly recommended.

I had reservations about buying these after seeing some of the reviews, but the price was too good to pass up. I bought 2 of them. I've only opened 1 and it works perfectly. Colors are vibrant, no dead pixels. I've found that using an LED monitor for many hours at a time does not give me the eye fatigue experienced by LCD or (gasp) CRT monitors. Hope to have the second monitor hooked up this weekend, I may change my review if there's any problems with that one. I've used Planar monitors in the past with no problems, I still have a couple of their old touch screens in use in the house.

This is just what the computer doctor ordered. My ancient monitor finally bit the dust and I needed an inexpensive replacement. My computer needs involve mostly business, database and accounting. I don't need anything "sexy" unless I'm on social media or watching the occasional video. This monitor delivers video ala You Tube, Skype, Photo Booth, Netflix, etc. just fine. I've never had a monitor larger than 17 inches, so the 22-inch screen is perfect; the extra visual real estate has greatly increased work efficiency. The monitor was very easy to setup and the picture is very clear. I especially love that the on/off button takes only a light touch instead of my having to hold the monitor while pressing a button ... ala my old monitor.

Sometimes it's what you don't see that counts. In this case, it is electronic noise. I mean this is a fine display but it seems to generate a lot of noise. I use an over-the-air antenna for my TV and my reception was hit or miss until by accident the plug came out of the monitor and my TV reception cleared up. Now, whenever I want to watch TV I have to shut this monitor off. (I use it as a second screen). If you use cable or stream shows then this won't be a problem but if you use an antenna for anything or at least TV, you may want to check that the monitor isn't interfering with the signal. I had never run into this with any previous monitors.

I have always liked Planar monitors until recently. I ordered this one and it had a hugh dead pixel area on the screen. I sent this one back and got another one just like it. It also had dead pixels. Very frustrating. This one is going back and I will order another brand. Planar had better wake up and get this problem fixed on their monitors.

We've been buying these for about 3 years now and have had a lot of positive feedback. The picture is brighter than average and a huge step up from the LCD models being replaced. The price point is really where it's at, coming in much lower than competitors. About the only draw back is that there is no height adjustment, causing us to focus on multiple monitor mounts or platforms to get to eye height. There is also the issue that when mounting it is difficult to remove the stand arm so we just leave them attached and remove the base. These are very dependable. Out of probably 50 or better ordered in the past 3+ years we've maybe had to return or replace half a dozen.

Perfect monitor for work.

It arrived with flashing about 1 sec on, 5 sec off. The display had many white lines both horizontal and vertical. Unusable.
