Update: The dog still loves it so bumping up to 5-stars. The lack of a larger zipper is not a problem as the covers slip on and off easily.Very happy we bought this. The foam does not have much of an odour, unlike most memory foam...hardly notice it. Thee memory foam is a big improvement over the old one, which was 'egg crate' foam. The colour 'Sudan brown' is more or less what we saw on our computer in the photo...perhaps a little more toward orange. The vinyl waterproof is of decent quality; looks like it will stand up. Two covers is a really good idea; wash one/use the other. The covers look similar to the old one we have, which has stood up to repeated washings. The fuzzy top material does not look like it will pill or leave fuzz all over the place. Our dog is easy on her beds, even though she weighs over 70#...perhaps a dog that chews or digs might tear the fabric. We took off one star for two reasons. First, we rarely give five stars in our reviews unless something is outstanding...this is just really good. Second, some competitors have moved to having a zipper on two sides, which makes the covers easier to put on and take off. If it stands the test of time we might bump it up to five stars.

The memory foam is sealed inside a plastic case, and the pad comes with TWO covers.I store the spare cover under the pad, and when an accident happens, it's quick and simple to switch over to a clean cover and get everyone back to bed!The pad is very cushy, and my miniature golden retriever loves to sleep on it inside his kennel (and our Siberian cat loves it too).I would highly recommend this dog pad.

This bed is fantastic! I purchased one for my Pibble's crate and anytime I can't find her, she'll be in her crate sound asleep. I give her the option, each night, to sleep uncrated or crated and each time, she'll be in her crate. The cover is easy on/easy off and I love that they send two covers, so you don't have to leave the bed uncovered while washing the cover. I highly recommend this bed for anyone who has a large crate and wants a mattress that actually fits the entire inside dimensions of the crate. Other, more expensive options, didn't quite fill the inside of the crate and there was always a gap. This mattress, best one around, if you ask me.

Bought this for our rescued Greyhound girl--she is almost 12 yrs old now, and we've got one of these in her crate, and one in the living room. Have used them for years (from this company), and finally had to replace one after years of use. Love that the covers are removable and wash and dry nicely. Replacement covers are available as well, making this a very good investment overall. Recommend!

I have three dogs and foster 70, I been through so many dog beds, that's by for the best on!!! Soft mattress, washable water resident cover, and two outside covers! Love it!

I keep this dog bed inside a crate. My dog loves the bed so much that when she wants to sleep, she goes to the crate and taps it with her paw so I will let her inside. The foam feels very soft and comfortable. The inside cover really is water proof, and the outside covers are soft and cozy. It's nice that this product comes with two covers do that while one is in the wash, I can just use the other.

Got this for my daughter's dog while she recovered from surgery on both back legs. The dog loved it. The quality is excellent and it came with an extra cover which my daughter loved.

Snug fit in crate and my dog loves it.
