What stood out was the build. The alloy body and hardened steel tumbler give a real sense of durability, and the claim about being rugged stands up to everyday bumps. Having the keys keyed alike to fit every lock in the pack was a real convenience; the fact that the keys can’t be duplicated in stores adds a layer of security I didn’t expect to notice during normal travel. One small note is that this is a keyed system, so you need to keep track of a key. If you misplace it, you’ll need the spare. That minor learning curve is easy to manage once you get used to it. The lock and key are very well made. The key fits smoothly into the lock, it can be inserted both ways. The lock is sturdier than the other brands we ordered. It is well worth the additional cost. We returned 2-sets of other locks before we finally found these locks. The color is bright and vibrant too, but that’s superficial compared to the lock design.
