Wind & Weather Antiqued Brass Poem Compass with Leather Case

What a nice compass! I really love this! The compass comes in a little leatherette pouch and it’s so pretty! I love the Robert Frost poem inside the cover..so unique! It has a good weight and the brass is really nice. I’m so happy to find this compass! It would make a great gift!

It looks amazing; exactly like the picture,like a real antique, looks beautiful on my desk. I took it outside (skeptical at first) and it does indeed work! The case has a belt buckle which looks so cool not to mention the poem on the lid. Will do business again

This was a graduation gift for my son. (I had purchased him a few other items so this was a last minute add-on.) The company shipped it next day for me so I could have it in time. The package was so well packaged that even though there was a boot print on the outside packaging (I am assuming was left by the delivery driver) the inside packaging was secure! The little (let's call it pleather) case it comes in is nice enough with a little buckle to fasten it shut. I was most pleased that the material of the case was soft enough to allow me to personalize the gift by using my metal letter stamps to stamp his name into the case. The compass itself looks worn and old, this is not a complaint as it was what I was hoping for! My son has an old soul and likes antiques so this was perfect! The Robert Frost poem inside was so nice, the print is very small but in fairness, there is not a lot of room in the lid so I was impressed they were able to fit the whole poem! (Besides, my son was able to read it just fine, so that is all that matters!) Overall, I was very pleased with my purchase. I have seen this item as well as similar items selling for much much more on Amazon and other sites! So this was an amazing price for it! (It pays to shop around!) ;)

I bought this to go with a treasure chest for my 3 year old son. I was surprised by how great the quality is, and the needle even works. I honestly expected plastic junk. lol This is going to be used a lot and I’m sure it will hold up. I’m so excited for him to open it on Christmas!

The design of the compass and casing looks awesome. However the brass is fairly scuffed up so it looks a little worn...if it was for personal use I could have called it 'character' and shrugged it off, but since it was intended as a gift I have to think twice. The leather casing is in great condition though, looks new and feels nice. The main problem is that the compass itself doesn't work well... the needle is so wobbly it never really settles anywhere, the slightest movement sends it swinging wildly around. Once you get it slowed down it usually( not always) points north-ish, but hardly with any reliable accuracy. There's no way to open it up to tighten/readjust it.

I didn't know what to expect from this but I was happily surprised for how cool it was for the price. A way better value than I expected. It's quality and hand made authentic look made it the perfect gift. There was a little cracking in the case but other than that I was great! Heavy too.

I have low expectations generally and am not too picky, but what a nice present. I gave this to my brother as part of his birthday gift since I had thought it looked neat and he was really touched by it. I'm not sure if the case is leather and the compass itself, although it works, didn't blow me away, but the presentation as a whole with the awesome poem engraving makes it a really thoughtful gift. With the engraving and rustic appearance it looks like something more expensive than it was and not something you might feel bad as giving as a present to that hard to buy for person.

Bought as part of a present for my Niece, who is off to do her second degree, so that she may never lose, or forget, her way home! She loves it and knew instantly what it was for and what it meant. Beautiful piece, works flawlessly and is very well presented. Future family treasure, methinks...

L'ho regalato ad una mia amica per il diciottesimo. Un regalo simbolo per "prendere la strada giusta nella vita". La qualità dei materiali è molto buona. La confezione è in simil pelle. Non è in cuoio ma è molto bella e ben fatta. La bussola è in ottone e all'inizio devo ammettere che ero scettico pensando fosse una plasticata. Invece è di ottone anticato e pesa anche un bel po'. L'incisione sul coperchio è un tocco di stile notevole, si riesce a leggere la poesia ( che tra l'altro è perfettamente adeguata all'oggetto ). Cosa dire, il regalo è stato apprezzato è quindi ringrazio Amazon per questo lampo di genio. Sembra incredibile ma mentre girovagavo su questo sito non avendo la minima idea di cosa prendere, salta fuori questo prodotto. Azzeccato. Consiglio l'acquisto. A. B.
