I ordered this to replace an old one that gave out after a couple years. I only used it twice before it stopped working so it was not very durable but it did work. that is why I gave it the 3 stars

Direct Traxxas replacment
Was exactly what I needed. I saw a tiny poof of smoke come out of the ez start motor on my 3.3 slayer and I knew it was done. Would not recommend this for young kids as there was a lot of disassembly to replace the actual motor compared to replacing the entire starting assy for 20 more dollars. For example I bought the $30 full ez start system for my pull start 2.5 rustler and the full swap took 10 minutes. Replacing just the starter motor pictured here on my Traxxas slayer took about 2 hours.
