Great Sci-fi Series, Not coded for devices locked to only Region 1/US & Canada
Great sci-fi series with lots of laughter and geektastic details! Definitely worth watching....can we say - BINGEWORTHY!!..This set IS NOT coded for the USA/Canada/Region 1. You WILL either need a REGION FREE dvd/Blu ray player or have one that is specific for region 2,4,5 PAL, As long as you have a player that can handle any of those regions, it should work fine for you.Another option is to download an app like VLC media player on a PC as long as you have a disc drive. VLC player allowed me to watch on my laptop with no issues. (I have a region free Blu ray standalone player also. I like my geektime!!)Well worth your time to watch.

Fun series, and the DVDs work great!! (If you have the right machine)
I loved Eureka, so I was very happy to find the complete series for a great price. Just pay attention to the description of this boxed set... The DVDs are region 2, meaning they won't play in a regular US DVD player. Too many people bought these without reading carefully, then they gave a bad review because they didn't have the right player. If you have a DVD player that is hacked to play all regioins or if you have a multi-region DVD player, these will play perfectly! This set contains all five seasons plus a lot of bonus material. It also comes in a nice case. I love it!

Bad DVD Eureka
I was very happy when I received disks, I put the first disk into watch and was informed that I was in the wrong region to play them. They would not work on any of my disk players. My daughter found that if she put them on my laptop and changed the region to play the west that they would play. That maybe all and good, although I would like to watch them on my dvd player. what would you advise me to do?

Great product - just READ the product information
This is a super series, all the DVDS played well and my order was promptly received. This is not Region 1 set so the DVDs will not play on a US formatted machine; an all-region machine is needed for viewing. It is a shame that some folks have given this product a poor rating simply because they don't read the product information.

great show but read the warning about Region codding.
I ordered this product because I loved the TV show when it was on and the price could not be beat. I know that it is not for a US region but it is actually really easy to turn most DVD players into a region free DVD player lots of safe and easy to find sights to help you. Blu-Ray players are a little harder but not imposable. I highly recommend this DVD set to any one that likes Sci Fi and comedy, it's the perfect blend.

“We just passed our car, with us inside!” [Zoey S1 Ep1]
When US Marshal Jack Carter runs off the road while ‘escorting’ his feisty teenage daughter to LA he has little idea of what he’s letting himself in for when they stroll into the town of Eureka. It’s a secret, ‘hidden’ town filled with genius’ where each episode features a new situation [and usually people] where accidental or intentional misuse of technology causes things to go wrong and it’s up to Jack to sort it all out. It’s a bit like ‘Warehouse 13’ -but with science rather than artifacts, mixed with ‘Sherlock’ and ‘X Files’. With a host of wacky characters and bizarre, futuristic science ‘stuff’, this starts off strong, helped by the zany humour which is thrown into the mix as ‘ordinary’ guy, Jack, attempts to aid the super ‘geeks’ and is often hindered/helped by his rebellious daughter. Various romantic angles and back themes tend to thread their way through the various seasons, with plenty of back stabbing and espionage to move it along. The roll top pack contains all 5 series on 23 discs holding the 77 episodes and takes up the space of perhaps 4-5 normal DVDs, making this an excellent bargain. Each disc loads to a basic menu of play all, episode selection and set up [5.1 or 2.0] with a few of the others having limited bonus features or trailers, season disc 4 being all extras for instance. The episodes range from PG to 15 with most of the direct sexual references being in the pilot episode, the remainder are mostly innuendo and the few scenes of nudity cleverly use objects to obscure ‘things’, while there is rare mild swearing, especially the first season.

Very good show.
When this show came on SKY TV I wasn't sure to make of it. I didn't start watching until a few episodes of it being on TV. But I really got into the show. Its a fun comedy with scientists. Theres Sheriff Carter and his daughter who are the main characters for the few episodes. Theres lots of scientific accidents. I can't get enough of this. But I give this DVD box set five stars because when I ordered this I was not aware that I can buy the Blu Ray box set on Amazon Germany. For some reason Amazon UK does not have the Blu Ray box set. Other than that this is worth the money

... because it was cheap and the Amazon reviews were good. It is definitely worth it
I came across this quirky series on Pick TV and bought the box set because it was cheap and the Amazon reviews were good. It is definitely worth it. Not quite up there with the best of the 'weird-town' genre (Buffy, Gilmore Girls, for instance) but a great example of its kind. Eureka is weird because it is full of technological geniuses. Sherriff Jack Carter manages to avoid disasters every episode, more or less single-handedly, with laid-back charm and witty one-liners. Lots of entertaining characters and hints at an ongoing underlying plot holding the episodic stories together. We've only watched about eight episodes so far but we're really enjoying it. Comedy-drama with sci-fi/superhero/geek-drama thrown in.

disappointing... no subtitles
I really am enjoying the daftness of this programme on repeats on TV but keep missing massive sections due to work. so, decided to get the whole box set.settled down to watch only to find that other than series 5, there are no subtitles. as a deaf person this is a massive problem especially on a programme where there is so much going on and huge amounts of dialogue.Having said that, the product itself is fine. it is just a box with lots of discs and no disc guide but the quality of the programme is high and the price is really good.

Great series, great price, what's not to like
Incredible value at the price paid (£15.00). Normally for the price you would barely get a single season, if that, of most series. Here you get all of seasons 1 through 5, that is 76 episodes with extras on 23 discs. Total run time of 54 hous and 30 minutes and all in a large well made plastic book style box with the discs held on hinged "pages". No supporting literature of any kind giving any breakdown of epsiodes atec, but at about 70p a disc it is still a bargain. Great series if you haven't discovered it yet. Made 10 years ago, good cast, script, production values, it passed me by until I caught it by chance on Freeview channel 11 Pick.
