Question 1

Is the rice powder used as a filler?

Accepted Answer

The rice powder is used as both a filler and a flow agent. Because Vitex is a fruit, it contains sugar, and is naturally sticky. Therefore, in order to make it flow into the capsules, a filler / flow agent needs to be added. We use rice powder because it's amongst the most natural options available.

Question 2

Is it liquid capsules? What is the ratio vitex : ricepowder?

Accepted Answer

The capsules are completely vegan and certified organic, and contain a dry powder inside.

Each capsules contains 500 mg of Vitex. The capsule size is standard "0" size, which generally holds just a little more than 500 mg, depending on the product density. With Vitex, there is generally about 50 mg of rice powder per capsule. The rice powder is used as a flow agent so that the powder can flow into this capsule. A flow agent is necessary because Vitex is somewhat sticky and does not flow without an additive.

Question 3

Does it work for pms depression and pms food cravings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Search online for "vitex pms", and you will quickly find lots of relevant, helpful information, including links to studies about using Vitex for PMS. The following is a typical statement that you will find when searching online:

In one study, women with PMS took Vitex agnus-castus during three consecutive menstrual cycles. In total, 93 percent of those given vitex reported a decrease in PMS symptoms...
