Thorne Research - Magnesium Citrate Health Supplement - 90 Capsules

We use this for constipation, along with triphala. About 4 caps of each right before bed and you'll wake up, ready for a pleasant BM. I see a lot of people use this for sleep, but it's not the best form. For sleep specifically, mag transdermal spray .. on the bottom of your feet .. works best. Plus, transdermal might have better bioavailability than citrate, which is saying a lot, since citrate has very good bioavailability too. Mag Glycinate is a good form for calming the mind. Organic mushrooms extract is good companion to this form and provide a synergestic nootropic effect. Magnesium orotate is good for athletic stamina. Mag L-threonate is good for brain function and memory. Anyway, I see only two reasons to buy this form: (1) Constipation, or (2) You're looking to get more magnesium into your diet and want the most cost effective way (citrate is cheapest form). Thorne would be the best company to buy from. They're stuff is the crem dela crem of supplements. Update: I just did an experiment where I combined one cap of L-threonate and one cap of Glycinate. Wow!! What an incredible day! I felt sharp, confident, euphoric, conversational, and had a fantastic memory. What a winning combo!!

I'm going to go ahead and echo everyone else's reviews.. I'm now a magnesium citrate evangelist! I sleep much better and more deeply, I don't take hours to fall asleep anymore, and have less anxiety.. It has a slight muscle relaxing quality to it as well, and helps my digestion (I had chronic constipation before, now I have at least one (usually more) bms each day that are super easy :) I started with one pill every night before bed, and gradually upped my dosage (under the supervision of my doctor) until now I'm at my sweet spot of three pills each night before bed. I always tell everyone I come across that magnesium supplementation should be a part of their daily routine, it's made such an impact on me!

It was recommended to me to take this product to help with bone density. But, I soon found that it helped me settle down at night and has helped me sleep. I like the low dosage pills so that I can take the amount I really need instead of taking a larger amount and having too much. It was recommended to me because it is high quality, which matters to me.

I have ordered this product at least three times now.The other times it worked beautifully and was literally life changing.The last time i ordered the product and it is entirely different , having no effect whatsoever,something is terribly wrong,I suspect it is some cheap , neutral filler , that is not harmful yet not helpful that is substituted.I will not be buying this product here again on Amazon.I am going to the official thorne Research Site to purchase it.If i had the resources and time i would have this product tested in a laboratory to see what exactly i have paid for in this last purchase .Whatever it is ,is not working at all.The other times i would take three at night and fall into a wonderful ,deep sleep and awaken rested ,refreshed and calm.For those who struggle with sleep issues ,you know the feeling of finally being able to look forward to bedtime and be out fast like everyone else.I have tried the natural Calm but was tired of dealing with the fizzy mess every night ,plus i already make a delicious sleep tea so i just liked taking these capsules..until this last purchase...I would definitely NOT order from this seller again. Major FAIL
