What is the trick? I have squeezed and twisted and nothing happens.

I put it on the floor and stamp on it lightly with my heel. This works 100% of the time and you are ready to go. I also spent too much time twisting and turning with no results.

Can these be stored in a vehicle where they may get hot during the summer? Are there any warnings on the label about how to store them?

I keep them in my car even in the summer. Never had a problem. There is no warning against the heat, only against freezing them

I can't get it to activate. I have squeezed it together every which way, what am I doing wrong?

Where is the top clockwise in the bottom counter clockwise both in the middle of the bag at the same time and you should hear a pop. Shake the bag and all the ingredients should turn cold and you should be able to use it.

Arrived cold, not frozen but definitely cold, have they already been activated?

They come room temperature, if you live in a cold state they may feel cold, but you still have to pop them to activate them.
