SanDisk 64GB Extreme SDXC UHS-I Memory Card - 150MB/s, C10, U3, V30, 4K UHD, SD Card - SDSDXV6-064G-GNCIN

I'm not a professional photographer, just a happy hobbyiest. I was happy before, but now I'm really happy now that I've bought this Sandisk Extreme 64GB card. Coming from a very old, but reliable Sandisk SD card, I am very very happy with this upgrade. It's like going from Windows 95 to Windows 10 Haha. I will definitely buy from this seller again. For those that are complaining about getting a bad card, I hope you can get with the seller and get an exchange or refund and try again. I kept in mind the reviews about counterfeit cards and packages that looked odd. Thankfully mine looked good and so far functions as it should. For those that are complaining about the low speeds, please take a note what host device you are using to read and write your files from the SD card to your computer etc and visa versa. My laptop is an 8 year old HP. I was expecting my onboard SD card reader to read and transfer files very slow due to its age and how fast technology evolves these days. Blink an eye and there's new stuff and faster speeds out. I was proven very wrong in my opinion. I also have an older external Sandisk MobileMate+ USB SD card reader to test and I knew it could be slow due to it's age (I've had it at least 10yrs I guess if not more), but didn't know it was that slow (see last picture in my review). That thing is now in the drawer for extreme emergencies if my onboard SD card reader stops working (knock on wood that it doesn't). When I get a new laptop, if it does not have an onboard SD card reader, then I will buy the new SanDisk SD UHS-I Card Reader - SDDR-C531-GNANN to reach those higher speeds like the package says. I was expecting to have to buy that if my current laptop's SD card reader was slow like my old card was transferring. In my last 2 pictures, you can see the difference in my old 4GB Sandisk SD card and this new Sandisk Extreme 64GB. Card came formatted with extFAT and worked flawlessly. I will update this review if the card's reliability changes. I'm hoping not.

I've been using SanDisk SD cards in all my camera gear for quite some time now. This is my first "Extreme" card and I can't say that I really notice any difference in performance of read/write speeds over the "Ultra" cards I've used in the past, but it's still a great card regardless. I will readily admit that I have had a failure with a SanDisk Ultra card in the past. It wasn't a corruption issue or anything but a physical defect in the plastic case that stopped the card from being recognized by my camera. This one seems fine so far, but I'm actually putting the blame on my card reader (connected to the PC) I was using at the time that caused the case to break. I always keep a spare around and until I run into any read or write errors I'm very likely going to stick with SanDisk cards going forward.

The first thing I want to note is that I am exclusively a still photographer, so I have little use for the video rating on memory cards. For now, I don't shoot on really high megapixel count cameras. All of my camera bodies (Canon R6, Canon 5D Mark III and Mark II) are in the 20-24mp range. I also photograph weddings primarily, so unlike sports photographers, I don't often utilize long bursts. I do, however, sometimes photograph extremely large panoramas (40-80 images or more) that require shooting a relatively large number of photos in fairly rapid succession. The write speed on these cards is more than adequate to keep up and not hit the camera's buffer, forcing me to pause mid-panorama. As for reliability, I've been photographing professionally for over 15 years and in that time I've only had 1 Sandisk brand card fail / become corrupt out of dozens and dozens of cards used over the years. Even then, the images on the card were recoverable (but, of course, I did not use that card again). One final note: A lot of people have reservations about buying memory cards off of Amazon, due to forged / fake cards. The way to stay safe when buying memory cards is to make sure that 1. the seller is the brand of card you are buying (for example, when buying Sandisk cards, make sure the seller is Sandisk), and 2. make sure the fulfillment (shipping) is done by Amazon and not a third party. I've been purchasing cards through Amazon for years and as long as I follow those two simple guidelines, I've never had a problem with receiving counterfeit cards.

Just bought a Nikon D5300, and want something to shoot at least 10 seconds of fast burst, full JPG size and best quality, action -- without breaking the bank. I had an older 16GB Class 10 card, with which the continuous burst speed I wanted was only achievable at small size, fine quality JPG, or medium size, normal quality JPG, so I went learning and shopping. The D5300 does not have a huge internal buffer, and can do 5fps at best JPG size and quality -- POTENTIALLY. I learned that cards made for 4K or better video, with the "V__" rating (the higher the number in the ___ the better -- I think V30 or higher is recommended for 4K video), would be most likely to do what I needed. This card fit the bill! Rated at V30 (30MB/sec minimum sustained speed), a highly-regarded name brand, and 64GB, but still inexpensive, I bought it with high hopes. When I got it, I was glad the packaging was easy to open, and that the card came with its own little case. Into the camera it went. I switched the quality to highest and size to largest JPG, and rattled off about 70 shots (14 seconds or so) continuously with NO SLOWDOWN! It did then start to slow down to perhaps 3-4 fps, so if I needed more than 14 seconds or so of 5fps burst shots, I'd set the quality to normal (medium setting) and likely be able to continue at the 5fps rate. SO: Though I have not tested read speed, nor used this card very long, I am VERY happy with the performance that it and the D5300 together are able to make! The right card really CAN make a big difference! Don't upgrade your camera for faster burst shooting without first considering upgrading your SD card! Happy shooting!

I was looking to upgrade my speed for downloading large amounts data at the end of a long day taking photos, and this certainly fits that need. The data capacity was a good value for the price and the speed with which it downloads my day's work is great. The issue I'm having is that the data lock switch on it is loose and does not stay in place. I've had a few times where my camera displays a message that the memory card is locked and cannot be used while I'm just taking photos. No hard shock or bumps, it just works it's way into the off position. I also regularly bump it into the lock position while inserting it into my card reader, which I've never had an issue with on the dozens of cards I've used before this. This is not a major issue with a still camera, I just have to pop out the card, flick the switch, and reinsert it, but this would be an issue with anything that would see any significant vibration or regular shocks. I would not use this card in anything like that, like a video camera that might get bumped around. Other than that, the card has performed great, it's just a minor inconvenience when using it to take still photos.

Whether it be for use in a camera, tablet, or laptop, the SanDisk 64GB Extreme SDXC UHS-I Memory Card delivers. I didn't need the absolute fastest, but I do want reliable. That said, when used in my DSLR, it performed flawlessly with no noticeable lag. My daughter will be using it in a Chromebook she's bringing to college. Even when inserted, it sticks out, but that is through no fault of the SanDisk card. It provides a bunch of extra physical memory, which is it's purpose. I trust SanDisk quality and have yet to be let down. ~ Kort

excelente producto muy recomendable

Have been re-using two of these cards (for sound recording) continuously for nearly two years, without any issues. Have now just purchased a few more. Have only tested one of the new ones, so far, and, as one would hope, it seems to be just as reliable as the first ones I bought.
