Makes meal prep fast and easy!
This has made cooking prep so much easier! Honestly, this has to have been one of my best purchases because of how efficient and quick it has made meal prep. When I would cook for guests, I would spend hours chopping bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions (onions being the worst of all because it would be in tears by the time I finished). Ever since I have received this chopper, I only spend 10 minutes on preparing all of the vegetables. The only bad part about chopping onions is removing the skin. That's all! The blades are extremely sharp and chop with ease. To make it easier on your arm I would recommend cutting things like tomatoes and onions into four pieces so that you don't have to apply too much pressure to have them chopped. I also love the slicer. It has a thickness control that allows me to slice extremely thin, yet perfect, pieces of anything I want. Just the other day I sliced a bunch of beats for a salad. And the layers were A LOT THINNER than I would ever be able to achieve with a knife. I am extremely happy with this and it has saved me so much time! This is one of my go to's now when I recommend to others what is needed in the kitchen!

Would be a four-star item if it was metal
This is a great idea that could have been executed better. I understand the need to make the product affordable, but the fact remains that making something less expensive also (often times) makes them less durable. The plastic construction of the chopping handle (for lack of a better word) allows it to flex and thus puts extra stress on some areas. My wife and I chopped an onion on the device and it worked well. You have to cut the onion in half and you have to use a decent amount of force to push the onion through the blades, but it works. While it works, the handle will flex, thus putting extra strain on part of the hinge. With the hinge and the handle both made of plastic, it is only a matter of time before this breaks. The grater attachment works for small jobs, but I will stick to our food processor for grating cheese, or for grating much of anything. The mandoline slicer works nicely as well, and it has a constantly-variable depth adjustment that allows you to get very thin slices if you choose. I really like the mandoline part of this unit, but it won't replace our better mandoline. With this said, you will be very satisfied with this if you don't already have a slicer. In addition to chopping onions and trying to grate cheese, we tried to dice a tomato. Strangely enough, it worked quite well. The only problem is that it shot juice out the front. We put a paper towel around the front and chopped tomatoes very successfully. It would work better for this if the blades were sharper, but it does work. If I could change anything about this unit I would make the top out of metal instead of plastic. I do not feel that this will last very well.

Made Chopping Fun Again!
Let me preface by saying I HATE HATE HATE chopping up anything and I am an engineer so naturally I looked for a gadget that would do most of the work for me (work smarter, not harder!) and this product fit the bill nicely. It seems to be made fairly well and is easy to use and clean. It perfectly chops everything from onions, to peppers to cheeses (I even used it for ham!). The package comes with lots of different attachments and 2 different chopping mesh sizes but I was disappointed that it didn't come with the grid size shown on in the front of the product image (2x10 mesh). All told, this product has taken the work out of chopping and I would hate to have to live without it.

Best tool in my kitchen!
This thing is absolutely AMAZING! I read alot of the other reviews and I know some people said their's broke, some even on the first use. I've used mine to chop everything from onions to sweet potatoes to zucchini and have had absolutely no issues. I literally use them almost every day in my kitchen. When and if it ever breaks, I will come right back to Amazon to buy another one. The larger dicing insert is perfect for potatoes or large chunks of vegetables in a soup or dish, the smaller dicing insert is perfect for onions that you are adding to a dish for flavor. The mandolin works very well and unlike my other mandolin, must be designed better, because I haven't scraped any knuckles on it. We also use both of the shredding attachments on a regular basis. I haven't used the julienne attachment, but do plan to soon to make frites. The trick I use, place your vegetable in it and I hit the top down with my fist. Pops right through, chopped perfectly. It does feel like there is a bit of stress on the plastic if you try to just push it down, so it seemed safer to me to make it quick.

Good grater but bulky.
Works really well. I only have 2 complaints.... 1- The cheese 'holder' that you use to grate a chunk of cheese, doesn't really hold the cheese in place. 2 - Storage is a drag. You can keep most of the parts in the container but if you want to store the cheese you have grated, where to put the parts?? I would've liked it to come with some kind of sack or box to store the extra parts in. I've already cut myself once because the pieces were lose in the drawer.

Keep looking.
Not even worth a dollar. The grater is completely dull. The chopper cuts but you'll still need to cut it afterwards. For the price, I didn't expect magic or surgical steel metals, but I at least expected it to work. Don't waste your money. The only thing in this set that i actually liked was the little hand to clean the top and the container.

My wife saw this item at her friend's house and we were trying to find this. When we saw this on Amazon, she was glad and this simple product has made her life much easier. She hated cutting onions and this product cuts onions in few seconds without those tears..Initially she hated this as she was finding hard to cut the things and things were getting stuck. Now she has learned the tricks. Cut onions in four pieces and it goes pretty smooth. Still some pieces may get stuck but use a chop stick kind of thing to remove. I hope manufacturer provides something more useful for this job rather than provided cleaning brush. Still much better than tearful cutting spells on chopping boards. Also pieces are uniform in size which is great thing vs cutting on chopping board with knife. Besides cutting other vegetables like red and green peppers is quite easy. Also recognize that these blades are not as strong as kitchen knife and in order to cut the hard vegetables easily the key is to cut them not very big before cutting with this item. It comes with lots of useful attachments for chopping and slicing and they are all good. Overall product quality is great and plastic is BPA free and strong. Blades could have been stronger though. I would just spend full price of this item just for tear-less onion cutting.. Caution: Hand wash only. Not suitable for dishwasher

First impression of the product was good. It seemed well made, I like how many options I have. After trying with different vegetables, I came to realize its easier to chop by myself rather than using this. In my opinion, I don't think its easy to keep it clean. things get stuck everywhere and the metal blades are sharp, you can get cut easily. for smaller chop, it was impossible for me to push down for carrot. And I am not that weak... Since the window for metal blades is not that big, you have to cut things into small pieces to fit the window, otherwise it could get messy easily. I liked how everything was same size after trying different veggies. However, it is not worth to put so much effort for almost same result as I do by my hand.

I've bought it to save time, since I spend about 30 min each day chopping salads. Well, it is not designed optimally, you have to use holder and you can use this holder with anything bigger then 2 cm, which means you still have to chop manually. I've managed to cut myself with it because I was not using and since blades are very sharp, cut was very deep and there is now a scar. Also, even though blades are sharp it can not cut some things, like tomatoes. It does nice job cutting eggplants, potatoes and onions, but blades area is not big to fit big chunks, which means you still have to cut anything before using it. Cleaning could be better, you have to spend time removing bits and pieces. Conclusion: it will save you time only if you're doing very big portions of food, like more then 4 liters.
