I read some of the complaints regarding his long opening but just hit the FFW 30 SEC or slide the cursor down the bar if it's that annoying. It's actually a great preface to set the learning style/mood he wants us to be in. I thought it was going to be easy at first, but it does become challenging in a fun way. I will def be purchasing book 2 & 3. His style of teaching has made learning the tenses and pronouns and other important little things much less complicated. I just wanted to hear something different and Paul Noble delivers. GREAT REVIEW AND HELPS GREATLY WITH WORK ORDER.
I LOVE PAUL NOBEL'S FRENCH CD'S THEY REALLY COVER MANY TOPICS AND HELP WITH THE COMPLICATED WAY THE WORD ORDER GOES IN FRENCH. PAUL HAS MANY THINGS FALL IN PLACE NICELY AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE CD'S TO PURCHASE. HOWEVER, THESE ARE IN MY OPINION NOT FOR THE TRUE BEGINNER. I SUPPOSE WITH GREAT WORK ONE CAN LEARN FULLY FROM THESE AS A TRUE BEGINNER BUT THEY ARE GREAT FOR THE ADVANCED BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE STUDENT.

Easy and effective way to review French.
I am refreshing my school French very quickly with this CD course. It is much easier and more effective than most language courses. Has anyone downloaded the booklet? How can I do that?

Excellent for conversational learning.
I've learned more from this audiobook than I did in 4 years of high school and college French. So impressed. If using the audiobook, you won't get any instruction on reading or writing, but the conversational component is remarkable. Highly recommend for conversational learning.

So far so good, but he mentions the workbook a lot and with audible I'm missing the opportunity to purchase separately or work alongside a workbook to further my education. Or a huge deal, but bummed about it nonetheless...

Dreams of fluency
Outstanding! I have tried many times to learn french, with little success. Just one week of listening to this audiobook each day for one hour has provided me with more knowledge than all previous attempts combined. I cannot wait to further my learning with his remaining books!
