Are the legs on these wider than the wens cut

I don't know what you mean by "men's cut", but the legs on these are tighter than average snow pants. They fit much closer than traditional baggy snow pants. Hope that helps

can these be tailored?

I am not a tailor but I don’t see why not, it’s not a plastic feeling pant. The fleece seem like it could handle alternations.

If using these for snowshoeing, would snow pants with a bib still be needed? Or will these suffice as snow pants?
