Calico Critters - Kitchen Island Set - Dollhouse Furniture & Accessories

I really like the line of Calico Critters / Sylvanian Families furniture playsets. Most of them are a very good 1:12 scale, and very real looking, like a piece of furniture a child's parents might have in the house. The pieces hold up well when played with. Realism is important to me, I want my girls to dream of what can be when they are adults and get to furnish a real room space.

This is one of the cutest sets and my 7 year old loves it. The pieces are super small but have a lot of detail. She loves setting up her bakery with this included and can play for a long period of time. The Calico brand have been excellent quality and I'm impressed at all the little things they include in one set. These are perfect gifts for kids who enjoy miniatures.

Nice set, small parts so definitely for those 5 years or over. All the pieces add to a lot of imaginative play. They rediscover their toys everytime a new friend comes over.

Calico critters means expensive, but it also means beautiful attention to detail. my favorite parts of this set are the mixer and the little miniature waffles and their waffle maker. This whole thing is beyond cute. The one thing though I wish calico critters would do, since we're paying so much money for their products, is please put the stickers in labels on the items yourself. There's enough tiny details to work with this should be a no assembly required scenario.

Great addition to either a home, bakery or doughnut store. Calico critters rarely fails to offer attention to detail and tasteful color choices. I have a nice collection of calico sets, and I can see using this in the kitchen of my red roof cozy cottage and red roof country home or putting the red roof cozy cottage on top of the brick oven bakery and putting the kitchen island with doughnut store in the cottage as a kitchen prep area for a booming bakery business. I am an adult and have a collection of dollhouse miniatures. I have no shame in saying that I collect calico critters pieces for myself. Enjoy!

A little on the expensive side for little plastic objects that will get vacuumed or fall down the air vent. They are cute though.

All Calico Critters products are great quality. Pricing on Amazon can be variable, products are sometimes cheaper in local stores.
