The Best AV Headache Cure There Is.
Having used a 7m copper HDMI cable for my PC setup for many years with no issue, it became a slight annoyance that after moving i needed a 10m cable to reach from my PC desk to the living room TV. The first cable i brought cheap from that auction site didn't work, so I spent more money on a high quality v2 cable with exactly the same results. it managed to send the lower resolutions, but refused to work with 4K. This is when my headache began. I started checking the signal boosters, but found most of these did not support 4K, nor the HDCP 2.2 pass through. Being a tech savvy guy i thought i had exhausted my options until i discovered the fiber optic version of a HDMI cable. Being fully aware of how fiber optics worked, i knew straight away this would be my solution. I remembered the original use of fiber cables was for 5.1 audio, via SPDIF, which itself is almost obsolete these days. I imagine these cables must be something of a new breed, as searching around online these cables are scarce and extremely expensive where these Amazon ones are literally half the price, but do the same job. I can confirm that this will solve your cable woes. Its worth pointing out that the cable only works one way round, so make sure you check the connectors that each end are in the right ports. Also, like with all fiber optics avoid running it anywhere that could be trodden on regularly and avoid sharp bends in the cable. The cable is well made, but won't be indestructible.

Flawless transmission of 4K UHD HDR @ 60fps over 20 metres - excellent performance over range
I ran this cable between two floors to transmit from my gaming/server room upstairs to my home cinema receiver/TV downstairs. To do this I had to make several bends but the cable is sturdy and flexible enough to make routing it an ease. In performance terms, I have had it running for several days now, with a high-bandwidth signal (4K UHD 2160p HDR video with 5.1/7.1 digital audio) and it does this at a constant 60 frames-per-second with no dropouts or issues recognising the display type. For reference this is from a Geforce RTX 3090 card, which is capable of HDMI 2.1 but only utilising 2.0 bandwidth, which I believe the cable is rated at. A superb cable with high performance, ideal if you want to run a screen or receiver over distance from your source. Very happy with this item. A+

These send the crucial signal back to a camera from a Blackmagic ATEM Mini for camera control.
I love these cables. I bought several brands to try using with my live stream set-ups where, crucially, you need to be able to connect a camera over HDMI that may be a very long way away from the switcher. No standard cable is going to do that past 10 meters without issues, but I have these fibre optic cables in lengths right up to 100 meters and they're flawless. The second and equally crucial thing is that these cables, which traditionally only send the signal one direction, can send a camera control signal in the opposite direction - from the Blackmagic ATEM switcher to a Blackmagic camera at the other end to allow control of important settings like aperture, focus, ISO and more. Several brands I tried initially could not do this. I also really appreciate the fact that these cables are well tested for breaks if they are kinked or bent as reliability in livestream situations where they may get staged or stepped-on is really important.

Failed after 4 months and now kills whatever it is plugged into!
I bought this to get a more robust connection to my projector which is a long way from my amp. At first it worked pretty well, it has a very thin cable too which helped installation. The other night the picture suddenly became noisy, then a few seconds later the picture went altogether. This was after less than four months and maybe 100 hours of use - we only use it for watching movies on the projector. We ran a cable over the floor to prove optical lead was at fault. Then we found when we tried to plug the optical transmitter end into our laptop the laptop completely froze- I’m guessing the transmitter end has failed and is overloading it! We are going to try to get our money back but I’m not holding out much hope!

Excellent Cable at first!
When I installed it it seemed excellent. 7 months later it's intermittent with picture break up and blank screens, usually cleared by unplugging and replugging in the cable, 10m cable used! Update, refunded by Amazon and a replacement from the same company purchased. Replacement works perfectly. Hopefully this one will last!

Good quality image
I have bought this several times. And funny enough, it is the only brand I have come to trust after trying several brands. I am happy with it, although it is not strong enough for what I use it for (regular rental event set-up), it delivers clean and sharp images, and for a permanent install or more careful use it should do the job

Very good indeed
As a home theatre system builder I have an eye for quality, and these cables are just that: quality. Moreover, a 10-15m HDMI span (typically useful for projector installs) would set you back around £200 not so long ago, so the price of these cables is also impressive. Just remember to install them the right way around. These cables are one-way, so check the plugs on the cable and ensure the one marked 'source' goes into your source and the other end into your display.

Updated works now - Maybe it my setup, but did not work at all
Maybe it's my setup. but this cable did not work from the start. I was to go from my gaming PC across the living room to my 4k TV and got no picture at all. I also tried it directly on one of my monitors on my desk also no picture. I will be returning this. - Update, if you suffer from an intermittent signal, it may be that your devices may not be supplying sufficient power to the "Active" cable. I recommend that you get something like this (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08MFG27XM?psc=1) in addition to this cable, my setup now works perfectly!!

ATZEBE Active Optical Cable – SOLVES ALL HDMI VIDEO PROBLEMS, for your home theatre viewing!!
Just took delivery of a few days ago of an ATZEBE - 5M Active Optical Cable…. WOW, after 6 months of issues trying increasing quality wired HDMI cables and wasting money with no success in stopping the VIDEO cutting out for 5 seconds at random times through a movie and not knowing what the issue was, I decided to take a ‘risk’ and spend the extra $’s to buy a REAL quality Optical HDMI Cable… I chose this cable and have tested it over the last 2 days in our theatre room connected to a 4k projector. TV, Movies, YouTube, home videos, games etc, all with the nearby Heater fan ( a suspected issue ) switching on and off, and the result… A perfect picture, no glitches or 5 second video drop-outs, it’s very responsive my Sony AV System… it’s a 10/10 from me.. doesn’t get better than that! Funciona!!

A presto! Carmelo Burgio
