The unit fits perfectly into the Metra housing and the housing snaps nicely into place, allowing pretty easy access to removing the head unit later if you need to add some or another accessory (dash cam, rearl cam, subwoofer, etc.). Much easier access than was the case with the OEM head unit, which requires you to get at the 10mm bolts holding the unit without really being abler to see what you are doing. "PRO" tip: When removing those bolts the first time, because you can't really see what you are doing, it's easy to drop them irretrievably into the space beneath the shifter. I learned this the hard way. I took one of the successfully removed bolts to the hardware store and bought a handful of replacements in case I dropped any more. I also bought some neodymium magnets and put three of them inside my 10mm socket. That worked very well. Review: Perfect Color Match for RX330 and Fit for Pioneer Double Din - I have the Lexus RX330 2004 with the Standard JBL Stereo System and this fits perfectly around the Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS, which is a 7" screen Double Din. This frame will enclose only the screen portion of a double din and no other surrounding parts (not even the tiny thin bezel behind the screen on my Pioneer). It gave just a perfect amount of space for the screen to completely tilt down without the frame or stereo coming into contact. A piece of advice is to make sure to fit the double din with the mounting brackets so that the stereo sits at an upward angle once bolted down. In addition, it should not be protruding from the brackets too much or else there is no way the frame can be pushed down and snapped into place. It may or may not take a number of re-adjustments to do but it literally clips into place above the double din. Another note is that the colored finish matches perfectly to the existing silver interior. The only way I can imagine that it won't match would be due to your car's interior aging and the color has changed. Only down side is that the coat of paint on this is very thin, so treat it carefully. Anyone has this pro?** A: I also had this problem on a 2007 RX350 with Navigation (not Mark Levinson) and found the fix. As it turns out, on these models you need to place the resistor between pins 9 and 10 on the 12 pin connector NOT the 20 pin connector contrary to the Metra instructions. The 12 pin connector will have a black wire and a white wire (older models will have a brown wire and a yellow wire). Strip back the insulations on these wires and connect the resistor between them. It fit the mounts ok, couple of side notes for something not mentioned in the installation guide: 1 make sure that you remove the yellow plastic spring stops on the factory radio and transfer them to the install kit, this will prevent a very slight rattle as you drive. 2 Most android head units are about 1 to 2 mm wider and 1 to 2 mm higher than the opening in the kit. (Dremmels are your friend). 3 the center section below the heater controls extends like a shelf, where before it was flat with the face, just a minor detail that I feel would earn a 5th star. Although the Android head units are not true double din, and the unit says it fits most double dins, you would think that Metra would have allowed for this in the trim kit as there is a vast array of Android units on the market, and far more affordable than the big 4. All that aside, Metra products work well, the finish is always exact to the cars original colors, just a few minor tweaks for that last star. P.S. I have been installing car audio for over 30 years, and I almost exclusively use Metra and Axxcess products, they are the best in the industry, especially for cost.
