I have a hard to fit foot, with high arch, high instep, wide toes, and narrow heel. These shoes fit like a GLOVE. It was so nice to put on something that actually fit me.It is nice and cushy, but not a whole lot of long term support. I will augment with an insert - I tried one out and not only was the shoe able to accommodate the insert, but also the original cushioned footbed. They are very comfortable right out of the box. I am usually a 7 1/2 wide so I decided to order a 7 1/2 Extra wide 4e just to be sure I got the foot bed room I wanted. And I really did. They are truly wide. The regular wide might not have been wide enough for me. I usually can wear wide just fime but this ome runs a bit small in the wideness, however it also runs a bit large in length. I have more than a thumbs width between my toe and the inner edge of the top of the shoe. So I'd say size down but order extra extra wide if you are looking for a 7 1/2 wide. I'm definitely going to order another pair soon. This time I'll go with a 7 extra extra wide. Should be a perfect fit. I was very surprised to have that much toe space on a 7 1/2. It felt like an 8. They yield nicely to the bunion I have on one foot. They do seem to be a bit large, though. I ordered my normal 7.5M (or "B", but M in this case). There is a gap at the heel, so, if they stretch at all, I will not be able to keep them on.
