Review: Best calming supplement I ever had! - My husband has been sleeping for a few hours at night which is not good at all and I gave it to him with pure magnesium glycinate and cortisol two night’s ago and he slept for 7 and half hours and last night 6 and half. Review: BEST PRODUCT EVER - This is a FANTASTIC product. IMPORTANT NOTE: the first time I took it I felt awful. I took one whole capsule about two hours before bed, I ended up feeling wired and couldn’t sleep well until about 2am and then had to go to work it was AWFUL. I say all that to say that I decided to have faith in the vitamin and the reputation. So I opened a capsule and poured half of the content into some juice and decided to take it slow and keep with it. Every single day I took half a capsule, by the 6th day I had it down to a science and it was working better than anything I could have expected. I’ve been on this supplement for almost three months and will continue to take this. I wake up some nights in the middle of the night but I am confident about going back to sleep. Whereas before I would wake up at 3am every night and stay up for the rest of the day. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety due to an overstimulated nervous system and this supplement really made my recovery to the next level. I rave about it to EVERYONE. My partner also started taking this supplement with me and she basically does the same thing, split capsule in some juice and is now sleeping better than she ever has. As of now we both take about 75% of the capsule.

**Q: is cortisol pure addictive ?**
A: No.  But it had the opposite on me. It kept me up instead of helping me sleep. I ended up throwing mine out.

**Q: Why the added synthetic vitamin d?**
A: The vitamin D3 is derived from lanolin and is not synthetic. As a company that specializes in hypoallergenic formulas, Pure Encapsulations often chooses to use synthetically derived ingredients if they can be made to be bio-identical (acting in the body identically to naturally derived compounds). This limits the potential for allergy in highly sensitive customer population. The I-theanine in the Cortisol Calm is synthetic.

I have brutal insomnia. My doctor's and neurologists are baffled. I became resistant to all sleep meds. During one of my 30+ hours of no sleep, I read about cortisol.
