The kit that comes with it has everything you need to start playing the ukulele, and the price is affordable. They do go on sale every now and then, so watch for sales. Action (string height) is quite good, although the nut is a little more narrow than usual, and string spacing is a touch tight...but if you are used to playing ukuleles with a 35mm nut, you won’t be bothered at all. If you prefer a wider nut, this will not be the ukulele for you. The big issue was intonation, which was confusing as everything else about the ukulele seemed right. Well, the strings themselves were the issue. I replaced the ukulele with Martin M600 fluorocarbon strings (For Soprano and Concert ukuleles) and the intonation issue went away, and I have heard from other buyers who have experienced the same issue and found the same solution. So...the big question is...do you like how this looks? If so, buy with confidence, but plan to order other strings...I’d suggest the M600s.
