Each spool comes in a little net cover so it’s easy to store away without tangling. I’ve used it for many projects like beading and sewing and the strength is amazing! I have a standard Singer Tradition machine that is not large spool compatible. I found a way to use the large spool by putting the spool in a bowl on the side of my machine and it worked fine. The first quilt I made was a learning curve. I found the best tension setting is 2.5-3 and the stitch length about a 3. I also had to keep my eye on the spool to make sure there wasn’t too much thread coming off at once. If too much comes off at once it will start twisting and will jam your machine. When it happens I just stop the machine, twirl it around the spool a couple times and it was good to go again. After I figured everything it was easy to use. My second quilt I made had no problems at all! There is so much thread on each spool, I barely made a dent in one spool after two quilts. I also love that you can’t see the tread.
