We also have cats and I was worried about them popping the mattress, so I did my homework and landed on this bed. So far the cats have not punctured it (I also started spraying the bed with "cat scratch" spray so they won't get any ideas). Parents loved sleeping on it. It did deflate a little the first night or two, but the package insert said this is normal. We have left it set up in the spare room since guests left a couple weeks ago. It's still inflated and doing well. Great quality and worth the money! The built-in pump is very helpful! For comparison, my parents brought a blow-up mattress. It was cheaper and only a Full size.
