I got it (40 inch and 60 in versions) for two reasons--keep dust away from my long wool dress coats during the warm months when they're not used, and just to simply pack up my shirts but still hang them (the compact nature of the bags help maximize closet space.You'll need the 60 in bags for long coats, and the 40 inch bags are fine for shirts and blazers. You can get up to 7 shirts in one bag as long as you use regular thinner hangers, but I wouldn't go more than that. With regards to wool coats, I prefer to have one per bag, but you can also do two per bag even with bigger coat hangers (the ones with the broad shoulders).The bag itself seems slightly thicker (and thus durable) than the garment bags you get from stores after buying a suit--they even seem thicker than my SuitSupply bags, and those are decent quality. No issues yet, but if there was a tear, I imagine it would be around the hole where the hanger comes out, which is why you shouldn't cram too much. I wasn't sure what to expect given the low price, but these feel much more durable than I expected. Ideal for having in your closet or even traveling in your car, but I don't think you should travel by plane with them (even the overhead compartment).
