The blades are not secured to the rotation axis and will fly spinning off when you turn it on and touch it to material. Keep the grill on as it's shipped, don't lose an eye.Once I figured it out it went swimmingly and I shaved everything in sight haha. It's very satisfying and easy to use. I wish the cleaning brush had a longer handle to reach further inside parts but it's great that an extra blade is included. Oddly shaped clothing like socks can be tricky to lay flat but it removes well enough. Obviously don't shave clothing while they're on your body.
