So a couple of years ago we bought the brown one and brought it back from Japan. It was, frankly, a great pan for the time it lasted.But that's a major problem with the Remipan: It didn't last that long. Less than a year and a half for the first one before we noticed the teflon on the bottom of the pan had been flaking off... and into our food! Now teflon supposedly isn't unsafe to ingest, but it defeats the purpose of a non-stick teflon-coated pan if it flakes off into your food, right? And even if it's safe, I really don't want to be serving my family and guests teflon flakes with their stir fry.And I want to stress that this wasn't the result of treating the pan poorly. We take very good care of our cookware.I have trouble recommending this pan because of these problems with the teflon coating wearing out so fast. I will say that the handle and lid are very well designed.
