I have wood floors and an area rug and my grand-kids seemed to do alright pushing it on the rug. It is a little harder going from floor to rug. This is a really sturdy cart and made so it will not tip over easy. My grand-kids love it. **Q: Real shopping...can you put a gallon of milk in it and room for a "couple" of more items?
