I found a solution to both of these issues. I wear it around my neck instead of on my head. I adjust the mic so it is about four or five inches from my mouth. This way it is now very comfortable to wear and I can use my voice the way I am accustomed to without distorting. I have found it is fairly water resistant (Knock Knock) last week I was in torrential downpours every night. It still works. Granted, I did as good as I could protecting it, so I won’t say it’s water proof! But it is water resistant. The speaker is comfortable and lightweight to wear on your hip.
