Review: Good chisel gun for the money! - Quick delivery overnight helped me to continue working on my ancient trailer that I am rebuilding. Purchased the trailer from Home Depot back in the early 90’s and worked well for our needs. Cost ratio is good and the zip gun as we call it around here worked incredibly well. My old one would not provide enough force to break over a dozen carriage bolts that were rusted. This did! The chisels with this are good and not too light. I purchased a different set to use with this gun and the metal chisels were all too soft so went back and used the chisels that came along with the gun and worked well. As another reviewer pointed out, make sure you add pneumatic gun which would help the gun work properly. I had some oil but couldn’t find it and I think it would have worked much better if I oiled it first.

**Q: I've got a 2cfm @ 90 psi porter cable compressor.  will that be sufficient to power this tool enough to loosen the fan clutch (3 seconds?)on my truck?**
A: Yes it will. I have a porter cable 2.6cfm 6 gallon pancake compressor and it runs it full power. You get about 20 seconds before the compressor kicks on. The guy who said it won’t work, and it HAS to have 4cfm never actually tried it. You can’t run this thing all day off a smaller compresssor, but for light intermittent work it will work just fine.

**Q: Where is it made?**
A: This Ingersoll Rand Air Hammer and Chisel Set is made in Taiwan.

**Q: How do I assemble it out of the box?  This is my first air hammer and it doesn't tell me anything in the printed materials.**
A: The "tip" if you will is basically a quick (dis)connect attachment for the tips that came with it. Put that on and use the allen screws built into it to tighten it really good. Then you just grab it and slide it down towards the hammer itself, which allows you to insert the tips, then let go and they should be locked in. They won't be locked in tight, because otherwise the hammer isn't able to do it's job and move them, but you should be unable to pull them back out without sliding down the collar again.

**Q: do you know if they make an attachment for driving a 5/8 ground rod this ? is about the air impact driver**
A: You could Go this Route: This tool here (Mayhew Tools 37316HT Pneumatic Bolt Breaker, 1/2-Inch, Hang Tagged ) would allow you to put a Socket on the end of it that would Fit your 5/8 Ground or other items you may need to drive , this would allow the Socket to Cup/Stay On the end on the Ground Rod While not worrying about slipping off the Ground Rod while using the Air Hammer to drive it into the Ground.

Quick delivery overnight helped me to continue working on my ancient trailer that I am rebuilding. Purchased the trailer from Home Depot back in the early 90’s and worked well for our needs. I’ve been using this Ingersoll Rand 114GQC air hammer and it’s been solid. Plenty of power for stubborn bolts, exhaust work, and general shop use. The quick-change feature is a big plus makes swapping bits fast and easy without slowing you down. Build quality feels durable and it holds up well under regular use. Definitely a great tool for both DIY and professional work. Would buy again.
