It stays open when I need it too, but easily pops shut and then it's easy to just slide your hand back it for easy access to treats when you need them. Even if I forget to pop it closed, and I bend down, the movement of bending down kind of bumps it closed so the treats don't all fall out .I have been all over; training, walking, playing, the dog park and to puppy school while wearing this bag and I haven't spilled a single treat or had a single issue with it. Also, the liner easily pulls inside out to wash after using high value treats like chicken that can be a little slimy.
