They'll last a long time if you treat them right. I use them steel and bronze to clean up welds. Doing the inside of a small hole is the only time I have ruined these bits quickly. If you're pressing hard and the bit jumps from one side of the hole to the other, then the shaft can bend. When that happens, you notice a bad vibration, and your bit is kaput. Time to get a new one. My advice is to take metal down slowly and lightly, if possible. I would not buy anything but a carbide bit. The ones you get from Harbor Freight are garbage. I keep several of these on hand just because they're so awesome and sometimes I absolutely need them because nothing else will do. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great set of rotary rasps. *by R***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2019* I will be making a lot of carvings with this rasp set.
