    Should be standard equipemnt!

*by D***X on Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2013*

The twist locking connector has become the industry standard over the last few years. And for good reason. The old style (through hole-pull out cord) had some real disadvantages. Namely that there was big friggin' hole in the side of your camper. Water, insects, small animals all had a way in. Not a problem twist lockers. But the problem that has been introduced is the idea that you have a fairly heavy cord pulling on it's own wiring and torqueing the coupler on the side of your camper...Enter the ParkPower Right Angle... This is one of those "DUH" innovations that just makes you wonder why no one thought of it sooner. With the cord's weight pulling straight down as opposed to jutting out and torqueing the plug the life of the cord should be much longer. The cord itself is a genuine Marinco branded product with a 30A Hubble locking connector and threaded lock ring. It's a weather proof 10ga cord and is designed as a drop in replacement for travel trailers and 5th wheel campers with 30A locking inlets.I do have one complaint. My connection is a bit loose. It's doesn't wiggle but at the same time it's not as firm to turn as the original was and as my 30A-15A pigtail is. If the cord were bumped and turned AND the lock ring were improperly connected to the TT it could become disconnected. However as long as the lock ring is installed this shouldn't happen. And it's not going to come undone when it's in the vertical position, only when it's rotated about 30 degrees. It does ship with a second lock ring for mating with the new style of Marinco inlets. The locking ring has a notch which fits into a track and turns about an 1/8 of a turn making this a true twist on twist off setup. I haven't changed the locking rings on mine yet though I do intend to. I will update then.

Great Cord but didn't line up properly.

*by S***W on Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2016*

Only gave it four stars for one reason as it is a great cord, especially for the Marinco Easy Lock connector. If your "L" shaped pin is in the 7 o'clock position, as in the attached pictures, the handle will not face down but can be fixed.Problem - On my Marinco 301EL Inlet, when the cord was connected the handle did not face down which kinda defeats the purpose. It was about 45 degrees off. Contacted Marinco and was told the inlet could be rotated by removing it and then taking out the three screws that hold the male electrical part to the cover, rotating it and putting the screws back in. After removing the inlet and the three screws, it could be rotated but there were no holes in the cover to put the screws back in, in the new position. I contacted Marinco to find out why this was? Have not heard back yet as it was Saturday. Maybe the 301 EL inlet I had was a older version? Since I had it all apart this is what I did. With the original screws in place I drew a circle, around the electrical part, on the cover so I knew the exact position. I got lucky, I guess, as when rotated to the proper position one screw lined up. I tightened that screw with the electrical part centered in the circle I drew. I then marked the other two holes. I checked the depth of the existing holes and put a stop on a 1/6" drill bit and very carefully I drilled two new holes making sure the drill was perpendicular to the cover. After drilling I reattached the male electrical part in these new holes and put the inlet back on my RV. Worked great but did take some time to do.

A perfect fit and the old one needed to be retired

*by N***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2021*

This is just like the old one was when it was new. I bought the quick-lock ring, too, but I will wait to install it if I strip the threads on this one or the ring cracks, and hope I never have to do it. It sounds like it will be very hard to install.I learned to connect the cable to the motor home first, then shore power. That way if there are any sparks they don’t pit the copper in the motor home bulkhead the connector.
