**Q: Would these work to secure garland to a thick round curtain rod?**
A: The ties that attach to a banister (or your curtain rod) are 16" long, so as long as 16-inches is enough to wrap around your curtain rod, then yes it would work.

**Q: How many ties do you need for one banister?**
A: Depends on the length of the banister, and the length of the garland you're hanging from it.  The average banister / garland needs 1 pack of 3.

**Q: would these work to hold a stocking full of christmas goodies?**
A: They might uf the stocking doesn’t weigh too much. I used them to hold the garland and a stocking along my stair way but my stockings were empty.

**Q: How long are the ties that go around the bannister?**
A: Since they are packed away with my Christmas decorations, I cannot access them to measure the ties right now.  I would guess the ties that go around the bannister are approximately 4 inches long.
