Review: Excellent sound at a great price - I can't understand some of the negative comments for this product. I bought it to replace a damaged Bose Solo 5 which was £210 but now reduced to a similar price to the Polk S2. Yes it shuts down after 15 minutes of non use but it only takes one press of the controller to fire it back up again. The main point is the sound, which for the money, is very good. Perhaps not surprising as it's longer and has a wireless sub, it's significantly better than the Bose. Much louder with excellent frequency spread and solid base. It can't compete with a surround sound system but can still bring explosive soundtracks to life. I have age related hearing deficiency and I find the clear speech settings very useful and effective. Again, better than the Bose, for me at least. There are some comments suggesting the three different settings have little or no effect. Play music and try them and you will be surprised just how much difference they make. Used in conjunction with the base control the frequency response can be adjusted to suit all my requirements. For TV I'm using the digital input from a Virgin box. The Bluetooth also works exceedingly well playing music from an iPhone. Great value for money,

**Q: I tried connecting to my Hisense 75inch tv via HDMI Arc. Shows as connected but no sound at all. Please help xx**
A: I get the same scenario randomly as well with my Hisense tv and need to follow the reset procedure on the sound bar.

**Q: “Can you adjust the volume of the soundbar and the sub independently? For example can I turn the soundbar down so that the base is rich at low volume?**
A: The sound can be adjusted on its own and the bass can be turned down and up separately amd it has a great voice function which helps hear the voices more over the music or film but I personally keep the bass on the lowest setting as I find the bass far to powerful and even on the lowest its still to high at times, it does have a night mode which really helps reduce the bass but for sound quality wise it's amazing but the bass does ruin things with the sheer power of it. I ended up getting some tech info on the bass box and they say its entirely dependant on where you situate the bass box I.e in a corner or near the wall makes it louder. So placement is key

**Q: What's the power output for this soundbar?**
A: Not sure but I think 30W

**Q: Will it automaticaly turn on with sound or do you have to manually turn it on?**
A: The sound doesn't turn on automatically. You have a remote control so not massively onerous. Your main concern is how new your TV is, you need to check if one of your TV HDMI inputs states ARC (Audio Return Channel) If the TV hasn't got one you want be able to get the best out of the sound bar.

Easy to set up, nice clear sound with just the right amount of bass. This "WAS" a great soundbar until it suddenly decided to stop working. Tried switching to optical, then back to hdmi arc but still no sound. Its driven me crazy trying to fix whatever problem it is. Have contacted the seller and will be asking for a refund. Only had this for about 6 weeks.UPDATE!! forget to say i got it working, and now 3 years later(2021) it's still working and a fantastic speaker.
