The extractor blades and operating power are a definite upgrade from the older model. Just make sure to screw the lid on tight before blending, and cleaning is a easy as ever. I do wish at least one of the tumblers had a handle for more-secure one-handed sipping. I haven't tried the pulse-mode yet, but since I don't have a food processor I am hoping it can be used as a mini-chopper for salsa. For the price, and am super-pleased with the performance! Got our money's worth on that one. Blending almost daily but definitely several times a week. The blender cup tabs that go into the slots to make the blender activate all eventually broke off but instead of just getting cup replacements, we figured it was time to buy another. In love already!!! It is DEFINITELY an improved version of the already great magic bullet. When you start it, it doesn't automatically go to the highest speed in a jolt like the older model. Instead it builds up to high speed in a few seconds. The blades are an improved design so that combined with a stronger motor = better blending power so it gets the smoothie smooth in less time and better, velvety consistency. Love that the cups are larger! That'll make making margaritas for parties easier as we can make more at a time. Same as the older model, super easy to clean with just a quick rinse of the cup and blade after use. And one of my favorite yet seemingly subtle additions, SUCTION CUPS on the bottom!!! I got used to just holding the blender slightly to avoid moving when blending chunkier ingredients but this one suctions to the counter. Hoping this one will give me as many uses as the original and if it lasts as long, I'll only ever buy this brand! My ONLY complaint is that I wish they would've added measurements to the cup to make measuring out liquids easier. On our old one, we just measured out 8 oz (the typical liquid amount we use in one shake), poured into blender cup and marked the side with a permanent marker to the 8oz liquid line. I remember wanting to "invest" in the V.i.tamix blender years ago when we first got into smoothies and blending our protein shakes. My mom had an extra Magic Bullet so I held off on the big purchase. I truly don't see the need to spend hundreds when the Nutribullet gets the job done perfectly fine for way less.
