It's grippy palm texture works. Only con occurs when I do heavier work -like shoveling, car washing, wood-working...etc- where the thin material tends to shift and bunch up; in hindsight, I realize I should have switched up to a heavier work glove. I've now worn these everyday for16 months, and 2 areas have torn. On both gloves a tear started on the upper edge of the index finger hole, and a tear has begun on the right hand thumb sleeve where it's sewn to the rest of the glove. So, I think that's pretty good Durability for a $10 glove worn 8hours every single day for 16 months.
