As I only has one USB C port (and I have multiple needs for USB ports, sometimes simultaneously, I found this to be the simple solution. Works great, and even has the ability to charge my MacBook while using it.I would have given it a full 5 stars, but when I tried to use it on my MacBook Pro to transfer a file to a memory stick, I repeatedly got a "transfer error". I used it to connect my MacBook 2015 (and Samsung phone w/USB charging port), to connect to my smart TV (HDMI), next I plugged in a wireless FOB (USB3.0) into the adapter and used my wireless keyboard and mouse.
