Something in his food was causing him to lose lots of hair and have black patches of skin, like that of an elephant. I researched it on the internet and discovered it was a fungal problem in his gut. As he's not insured anymore (I had to cancel that due to financial problems), I bought a very expensive food to try to sort it out first rather than a trip to the vets. This did the job but I couldn't keep him on it due to the cost so I had to look for an alternative that I could afford but would still keep him healthy. The Arden Grange Sensitive has done the job very well and I'm very happy with it and I would feed it to all my dogs if I could. It has very small kibble which is ideal for my Affenpincher cross as he's very small. His skin and coat have remained good, with loads of hair and no sign of the original problem. He has been on it long enough for any problems to arise and I shall continue to buy it for him. Its totally grain free and there are not many food available that are, not at a sensible price anyway. I was considering having to put him on a raw diet but I was worried that he may not get all the nutrients he needs with me doing it for him. Also it would cause a problem with my other 4! All in all, I'm very happy with this food and would recommend it to sort out any tummy/skin problems in a dog. It can be a long and very expensive process finding out exactly what is upsetting your dogs tummy/skin. Chances are its gluten or some other grain so by buying this it eliminates this from the diet and you can go from there.
