The zebra itself is soft and the material feels good quality. The frame is sturdy and well made. The baby I bought this for is in love with it and it’s become a firm favourite. Apparently it makes a clip-clop noise when rocking. Some may like this and others may find it annoying. I’ve worked out though (for those who don’t enjoy the sound) it’s located in the tummy area of the zebra…like a ball baring in a box that rolls back and forth with the rocking motion. If it were my child (back in the day) I’d unscrew the animal from the frame and perform a c-section to remove the noise box!!! Luckily the family I gifted this to love the sound effect, but anyone confident with a screw driver and seeing needle should be able to take it out if desired. I’m told that the material wipes clean quite easily with a wet wipe, and that the only thing that could improve it is felt on the runners if being used on laminate floors to lessen potential for damage.
