The remote has a short distance but these are lining my back porch, 80 feet around. I bought 3m double sided tape(doesn't come with) and used the hooks that the lights came with to hang(buy screws, none come with). All screwed in mounted perfect along my 12'x12' fountain, purchased lumber, tools, hip waders, everything I needed to climb around in the fountain. Looked beautiful for the 2 days that they worked and then just completely quit. I am so mad that If I am to get my money back now I have an entire day of work ahead of me to uninstall, and 1 more to reinstall new ones only with the hope that it wouldn't happen again.
