Review: Pricey but well worth it. - I have now had my ARB Jack for over two years now. It has replaced my Hi-Lift that I bought in 1970. I have had none of the negative issues pointed out in other reviews. Great jack.
Review: Vehicle Recovery Nightmare - We purchased the Jack about a month ago for a trip to the Rubicon. Because I’m not running 40” tires. This jack came in very handy. We used the familiar farm jack in the past. With near deadly results. Talk about a recovery nightmare. Not to mention the panel damage that was caused when the jack would slip out of place. Remember a trip to the hospital and or panel damage is not cheap. This jack provide all the height we needed to continue along our journey. And worked flawlessly. We had no issues with the ARB jack retracting back into place quickly. It came with a heavy duty carrying case. We did not get the plastic base. Although I will probably add that in the future. One of the cons about this Jack is it is quite a bit heavier than I expected. And the lack of additional accessories like wheel lift hooks or a connector for lifting at rockslides. Overall super satisfied. Highly recommend for anyone who is worried about getting bogged down or needs to get a corner in the air to help with obstacle clearance

**Q: Will this work for a truck that weighs 5600lbs?**
A: My truck weighs 4,300 and this jack can lift one side off the ground (easily) to rotate tires.

**Q: Used on my rock rail for my 4 Runner, which it bent the rail. Given the footprint of the jack, where do you place it to lift?**
A: My rocksliders are by Westcott Design.  They didn’t bend.  Sorry.  But, I use a 4” X 14” piece of conveyor belt between the Jack and my rocksliders.  Typically close the welds , also in the middle placing snow chains on both tires at once.

**Q: Is there mostly plastic at the handle and other parts it's hard to tell form the picture, For $800+ I want least amount of plastic materials.**
A: Zero plastic. This is one solid unit. If you're thinking about this type of jack, I suggest this one. I'd buy again if mine were stolen.

**Q: Can this jack be stored outside (vertically)? Can it get wet from rain and dusty from dirt roads/trails without issues?**
A: The jack comes with a storage bag of canvass type material. Should keep it safe from dust but I'm not sure of water.
I keep mine inside my tool box.

I was looking for a safer alternative to the hi-lift Jack. This one seem to fit the bill. Ignoring the fact that this product is very expensive, I was hoping the build quality would be worth the money. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! the locking latch which are made of plastic immediately broke during a function check. I lost confidence in this product and would not recommend it to anyone who might rely on it for recovery!
