It would not be glide around so well on payment. **Q: Is the item portable? Would like to take it on the Subway with us.** A: Sort of. It doesn’t fold up, but it’s not that heavy. I flip it upside down and hang it by the crossbar on the handles of our stroller and that works pretty well **Q: Can an adult use it?** A: This product is adjustable in length but I don’t think it would be comfortable for a child over seven or eight years old to use.
