The Culinary Coop's Insect Trail Mix is a perfect blend of dried soldier fly larvae, mealworms, crickets and grasshoppers. This 100% natural, premium treat is ideal for your pet chickens and gives you the convenience of having 4 different types of insects in 1 bag. Insect Trail Mix is rich in protein and calcium, which are essential elements for chickens to produce healthy eggs. Chickens also need a boost of protein during their molting season to aid in replenishing their feathers. Additionally, this mix is a great source of Omega-3s. Perfect for Chickens, Ducks, Wild Birds, Aquatic Turtles, Reptiles, Hedgehogs and other Insectivores in all life stages.

Review: Mice love them, great quality and no gross smell - My mice LOVE these! They are way cheaper than buying dried mealworms specifically branded for small pets, and there is much more variety with this. I like to scatter these in their bedding and they dig them out, which gives them enrichment and a protein rich snack that isn't full of artificial ingredients. It has a sort of... nutty(?) smell to it, which honestly isn't unpleasant and I actively try to avoid thinking of food when I open the bag. I'm glad it isn't gross smelling, but "mmm, bugs" isn't something I like thinking about. These always stay crisp and dry as long as the bag is resealed properly, and there is a surprisingly small amount that ends up as bits or dust at the bottom of the bag- they are almost always perfectly whole insects. These would also be great treats for pets like turtles, hedgehogs, fish or wild birds.
Review: They gobble it up - Both my rats and my box turtles love this trail mix.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They gobble it up
*by M***M on June 26, 2026*

Both my rats and my box turtles love this trail mix.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My quail love it!
*by S***S on September 10, 2021*

My quail love it! I bought this bag because I wanted to get a few treats for the little Coturnix quail I have at home. They just go gaga for those worms! There are big old dried grasshoppers in here that they don’t really care for but the great majority of the bugs are those mealworm looking things and they love those! Because my quail or small the seems like a crazy amount of bugs for the price but I don’t know if I would feel the same way if I had like five chickens. In any case my birds love it and I would absolutely buy it again!
