Review: World Cup Summer projector !!! - Works great so far. I Got this duplicate splitter to stream the World Cup on a projector outside while the family can still watch the game inside on the living room tv. Was a little nervous when it didnt stream to my projector while my tv was playing. but then I remembered about the switch on the back. For some reason if the projector needs to adjust it loses the display but flipping the switch either way always seems to correct it. Also this is a wired HDMI connection. I have yet to try a hdmi transmitter but so far the image is clean no distortion. Highly recommend. Especially for parties. For the people complaining about “ why would someone need the same screen twice”, it is often used in bars and fast food menu displays to show the same sports show or menu options on several tv displays without having to buy more boxes or logins. Just read the description carefully, it is not that hard.

**Q: our laptop has a hdmi output and two monitors both have hdmi inputs. the goal is to have 3 screens, displaying 3 separate app.s**
A: This particular device has only one HDMI input.  Whatever monitors you have connected to the 2 HDMI outputs will display the same picture.  OREI makes a matrix switch/splitter with multiple HDMI inputs and outputs which sounds like it would probably be a better fit for what you're trying to achieve,

A: Due to Crazy situation, covid, I have 1 working directv DVR receiver in my bedrooms. I took the hdmi from receiver with 1 htmi Male to connect to TV on top of DVR receiver.

I put the directv output into the 1 input, and one very short hdmi output Cale in 1 for TV on top of DVR, and output 2 I put a 60 foot heavy hdmi cable output running across the floor, down my staircase across my living room and plugged into one of many TV HDMI Inputs on my new 55" Amazon Smart HDMI TV - have direct TV in both bedrooms & living room & and a long wide flat cable running through my house, temporally, so far over 4 months waiting for Directv to have a repairman available to schedule a repair to my broken living room directv DVR receiver.

It's not pretty but but works.

To control the directv DVR upstairs from my living room, I had already put the android directv remote app on my phone, and all my old broken devices that still have wifi ability. Always can FIND a direct rv remote in under 5 min max, often using FIND my phone app to fond the diveces in my home with the directv app but I can't FIND. I follow the sound in worst case lost remote situation - happens many many times every week LOL

A: From the initial product description in the title: "4K 1 x 2 HDMI Splitter by OREI, UltraHD 1 in 2 Out 2 Port >>>4K@60hz<<< 4:4:4 8-bit - HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, 18 Gbps - Supports 3D - Duplicate/Mirror Screens". It look as though it only goes up to 4K@60Hz. There are Video/Audio splitters that I trust would be better. I need one for my TV4K since my AVR doesn't do 4K, but does all the 9.2 audio codecs.

I bought to connect my Chromecast Streaming Device so I can view same programs on two TVs. One TV has a cable run of about 30 ft to deal with. Pictures on both TVs are very sharp and clear. I also want CEC pass through so my Chromecast remote switch button would continue to allow one button switching from outside antenna to HDMI imput on main TV. This splitter does allow this feature to continue work, must use output port 1. I tried a different brand that stated CEC compatible but it broke the Chromecast remote's input button function. Orei got it right. Their device is also in a metal case unlike another I tried (more expensive too) which was just plastic. For me, this does what I need. I think is a good buy.
