I'm old school when it comes to having software on CD and this older model still had an optical drive, along with some impressive hardware (for it's age). When I called Sony customer support they were useless, saying they don't support my model anymore. So much for me buying any computers from Sony anymore. This has basically the same power specs as the OEM and does the job for a decent price. I does come with the power cord, so I did not have to use the old one.
